Fr. David Dwyer, CSP - "Understanding What We Do: A More Active & Prayerful Participation in Mass"

This talk was given on October 22, 2023 at the New York State Eucharistic Congress held at the Shrine of the North American Martyrs in Auriesville, New York.
Fr. Dwyer is a Paulist priest, best-selling author and award-winning radio and TV host. He currently serves on the presidential leadership team of the Paulist Fathers and is the Executive Director of Busted Halo Ministries, a media outreach that aims to help young people grow in and share their Catholic faith. He hosts "The Busted Halo Show," a radio talk show here five nights a week on the Catholic Channel, SiriusXM Ch. 129 (listen to the podcast). He co-hosts the weekly program, "Conversation with Cardinal Dolan," seen on EWTN, Catholic Faith Network and other platforms. His first book, "Mass Class: Your Questions Answered," from Paulist Press, was ranked #1 on Amazon's Christian charts even before its official release. The Catholic Media Association recently bestowed on Fr. Dave its inaugural Gabriel Award for Personal Achievement. He is featured in the book, "New York Catholics: Faith, Attitude and the Works!," alongside Archbishop Fulton Sheen, Dorothy Day and Regis Philbin. A native of Long Island, NY, he studied mass communications at Syracuse University and later produced and directed television shows for HBO, MTV and Comedy Central. As a priest, Fr. Dave has worked in campus ministry at the Universities of Colorado and Texas, and has developed young adult ministry programs for the Archdiocese for the Military Services.
